Outer/Under is a fictional fashion magazine about intimacy. The publication is divided into two sections:
Outer and
Under. The
Outer section is about our connection to underwear and the
Under one deals with our perception of nudity and intimacy. The magazine utilises a Japanese folding where nude pictures are printed on the inside part of the pages. Looked under different types of light, the different types of skin tones from these images seep through on the outside part of the magazine. This creates a dynamic and ever-changing visual display that mirrors the complexity of human relationships and the nuances of intimacy and human connection. All articles are from
Vogue magazine’s archive.
